Fiber-Optic Infrastructure

The network created during the implementation of the project RAIN consists of 3357 kilometers built and of 3,000 kilometers leased fiber-optic cable lines, which connect all of the country's rural elderships and about 330 schools in the municipalities, giving the opportunity of providing broadband services to organizations or people. In some sections of the network, where RAIN optic cable line has not been built, fiber-optic cables have been leased from the the owners of the other infrastructure.

The project RAIN formed 51 separate networks, geographically located within the municipal areas. Different municipalities have not been connected to each other in the network development stage.
